These retailers know they are competing against not just the other stores on a high street or retail park but against every other retailer in the UK that has an internet presence. This means that to get you to buy from them they need to offer rock bottom prices and an exemplarary level of service. You can of course still visit your local electrical superstore and browse the limited range of products they have on display, but you'd be silly to just buy the product on the spot - take a note of the brand and product code and go home and do a google search and see what people are saying about it first.
